An industrial visit to AAVIN Dairy Farm was organized for the first-year students of Paavai Polytechnic College on 08.10.2026 and 09.10.2026 to provide practical knowledge and real-world exposure to dairy farm operations and milk production processes. The visit aimed to enhance students’ understanding of theoretical concepts through direct observation of industrial practices.
During the visit, students learned about dairy farm operations, animal management, and milk production processes. The milking process was demonstrated, and students observed the use of modern milking machines that ensure efficiency and hygiene. The procedures involved in milk collection, storage, and chilling were also explained, highlighting their importance in maintaining milk quality and preventing contamination.
Special emphasis was placed on cleanliness and sanitation practices followed at the dairy farm to maintain milk quality and ensure hygienic production. The farm staff explained the various equipment and technologies used in dairy farming. Students also learned about waste management practices and the eco-friendly utilization of dairy by-products.
The industrial visit was a highly informative and enriching experience that helped students gain practical insights into dairy farm operations and understand the importance of hygiene, technology, and quality control in the dairy industry.
