The Faculty Development Department organized a three day Induction Programme for the first year students of Paavai Polytechnic College. The Induction Programme was held from 26.06.2025 to 03.07.2025 at Brilliant Hall. The inauguration of the programme was held at Brilliant Hall on 26.06.2025 at 10.00 am. The programme started with a prayer song followed by lighting of the kuthuvilakku. T.Harshini, II Year – CSE, PPC welcomed the gathering. Shri.CA.N.Natarajan, the Chairman presided over the function and delivered the inaugural address. Sir stressed on Paavai to always be a student centric institution guiding the youth towards success. He advised students to lead a disciplined life and told them to put in consistent efforts to achieve their goals. Sir inaugurated the Induction Programme. Smt. Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent offered felicitations and welcomed all the first year students into the portals of Paavai. She advised students to remain focused and make their academic life purposeful by excelling in studies and participating in many activities at Paavai. She also told the students to abide by the rules and regulations of the institution. The objectives and methodology of the Induction Programme were read out by R.Sathya, II Year – CSE, PPC. After the inauguration, the formal sessions commenced.
Shri.CA.N.V.Natarajan Chairman conducted the session on the topic entitled “Goal Setting”. The main objective of this programme is to acquaint the students about the need of the goal and to make them understand the significance of goal setting through which they can succeed in their life within the stipulated time. Sir quoted Abdul Kalam Sir’s inspiring words and made all students to repeat those words. Sir stressed on the importance of SMART goals and explained that preparation is necessary to accomplish goals. He correlated his life incidents of setting a goal at the age of 17 and how he made his dream to come true through consistent and persistent efforts. He listed out the six components to sustain victory namely Genuine Goal, Lawful and ethical path, continuous efforts, hard work and smart work, high self -discipline and faith in God. Finally he concluded by stating that,” set your goal, shape your future and be a leader”.
Dr.K.Selvi, Dean Academics, PEC delivered her speech on ‘Paavai Culture’. She explained the Paavai Mantra, Principles, Belief and Code. She detailed about classroom behavior and the principles which should be followed in Paavai. She strongly imposed the culture to be followed strictly on and off the college campus. Mrs.C.Jayalakshmi, Dean Counseling, Paavai Institutions delivered her speech on ‘Transition from ‘Smart Thinking for Bright Future’. She said that change is a stressful experience for any one. But for those who have prepared themselves mentally, nothing is difficult. Madam stressed that students should adapt to the changing times and work smartly to achieve success in lifes. Mr.T.S.Gowtham, Principal, PPC addressed on the topic “How to approach diploma subjects”. He explained the various possibilities of making the subjects simple. He also highlighted that, polytechnic subjects are practical oriented and job opportunities are plenty.
Dr.K.Sundaramurthy, Head, IQAC, PEC addressed the students on ‘Time Management’. In their session, they clearly explained about the importance of time and the necessity to manage time for the students to achieve their goal within a stipulated time. Mrs.Pradeepa, AP, Mathematics, PEC elaborated the topic, ‘Beauty of Mathematics’. In her session, she beautifully explained how mathematics plays an important role in day to day life. She also taught mathematics in simple way and elucidated its usage in everyday life. She has shown various videos related to mathematics. Mr.Elavarasan Yoga trainer, Paavai Educational Institutions demonstrated the benefits of various asanas and yoga exercises. He instilled the young minds to stay fit and healthy to have a successful life. Some of the students recorded their feedback during the feedback session. Totally 176 students benefitted from this programme.
