The Inaugural function of the first year polytechnic classes of the academic year 2018-2019 was held at Visvesvaraya Hall on 27th June, 2018. The function commenced with the prayer song followed by Tamilthaivazthu. Smt. N. Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent of Paavai Educational Institutions lighted the Kuthuvilakku along with the dignitaries. Pooja was performed and the students sung the songs of Lord Vinayagar and Lordess Saraswathi. The Chairman, Shri.CA N.V. Natarajan, Paavai Eductional Institutions hoisted the Paavai flag and presided over the inaugural function. Smt. S. Sumathi, Principal of Paavai polytechnic college welcomed the gathering. The Chairman of Paavai Educational Institutions Shri. CA. N.V. Natarajan gave his Inaugural address, in which he pointed out that the students should respect and obey their parents and teachers. He insisted the students to obey the elders to come up and achieve in their life. He also narrated importance of discipline among the students. The Correspondent of Paavai Educational Institutions Smt. N. Mangai Natarajan gave a blessing note and spoke on the responsibility of the students. After that we introduced our college HODs and first year staff to the students. A cash award of Rs.500/- per subject was distributed to the students who have secured centum in Board Examinations. Mr. T. S. Gowtham HOD of Automobile Engineering proposed the vote of thanks.Finally, the fresher’s performed Padha Pooja to their parents and the parents blessed them. The function ended with the National Anthem.
