The Road Safety Awareness Programme, organized by the “Road Safety Club”, was successfully conducted on 03.09.2026 at 10:00 AM in the college campus.
The special guests for the event were Mrs. P. Sangeetha, Inspector, Puduchathiram and Mr. Chinnappan, Highway Inspector. They delivered an insightful awareness speech to the students on road safety and traffic rules.
In their address, they emphasized that the role of students and youth is crucial in preventing road accidents. They clearly explained to the students the importance of:
– Wearing helmets compulsorily while riding two-wheelers
– Using seatbelts while traveling in four-wheelers
– Avoiding over-speeding
– Avoiding mobile phone usage while driving
– Avoiding drunk and drug-impaired driving
– Strictly following traffic rules and regulations
They further explained that road safety is the responsibility of every citizen and that even a small negligence can lead to major accidents and loss of life. They urged all students to follow traffic rules properly.
Through this programme, students gained clear awareness about traffic rules and safe driving, and developed a sense of responsibility to create road safety awareness in society.
The event was graced by the Foundar and Chairman, Correspondent, Dean Counseling, Principal, Heads of Departments, faculty members, and more than 600 students from various departments, who learned about road safety awareness and the promotion of safe and responsible road usage.
