The III –YEAR students of the Mechanical Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering departments of Paavai Polytechnic College participated in an industrial visit to TVS Sundaram Fasteners Limited, Hosur, on 16.10.2025. The visit was organised as part of the academic curriculum to provide students with practical exposure to industrial processes and professional work environments. During the visit, students were introduced to the organisational structure and manufacturing activities of TVS Sundaram Fasteners Limited, a renowned company in the automotive fasteners industry. Industry experts explained various production processes, including forging, machining, heat treatment, quality inspection, and packaging. Emphasis was also given to safety standards, quality control measures, and modern technologies adopted in large-scale manufacturing.
The students observed the functioning of advanced machinery, automated production lines, and systematic workflow followed within the industry. Faculty members accompanying the students guided them throughout the visit and ensured discipline and effective learning. The interaction with industry professionals enhanced the students’ technical knowledge, industrial awareness, and understanding of real-time applications of engineering concepts.The management and faculty of PPC expressed their sincere thanks to the officials of TVS Sundaram Fasteners Limited, Hosur.
