An industrial visit to a AAVIN DAIRY farm was organized to provide practical knowledge and real-life exposure to I-year students of Paavai Polytechnic College regarding dairy farm operations and milk production processes. The visit aimed to enhance students understanding of theoretical concepts through direct observation of industrial practices. The dairy farm visited was well-organized and maintained proper standards of hygiene and management.
The milking process was demonstrated, and students observed the use of modern milking machines, which ensure efficiency and hygiene. The process of milk collection, storage, and chilling was also explained to ensure quality and prevent contamination.
Special emphasis was given to cleanliness and sanitation. The dairy farm followed strict hygiene measures to maintain milk quality. Various equipment and technologies used in dairy farming were shown and explained by the farm staff. Students also learned about waste management practices and how by-products are utilized in an eco-friendly manner. It was highly useful and informative experience for all the students.
