The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of our institution successfully organised a one-day trekking programme on 20.09.2025 at Kaliyavardhaperumal Hill for students, with the active participation of faculty members. The programme was conducted with the objective of promoting physical fitness, environmental awareness, team spirit, and experiential learning among students.A good number of NSS volunteers and students enthusiastically took part in the trekking activity, accompanied by faculty members and NSS coordinators. The programme began in the early morning with an orientation session, during which students were briefed on safety measures, discipline, and the importance of teamwork during trekking activities. The trekking expedition provided students with an opportunity to connect with nature while developing endurance, leadership qualities, and mutual cooperation. Faculty members guided and motivated the students throughout the programme, ensuring safety and smooth coordination.
The event concluded with an interactive session where students shared their experiences and reflections. Participants expressed that the programme was both refreshing and enriching, helping them relieve academic stress while gaining valuable life skills. The NSS unit appreciated the cooperation of all participants and faculty members for making the programme a grand success. The NSS Unit continues to plan and execute such meaningful activities to foster discipline, leadership, and community involvement among students.
